Aishwarya Rai: Will she succeed in restoring the mystery of Hema Malini

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is in talks to play the lead female in Sanjay Dutt’s remake of the hit classic ‘Satte Pe Satta’. And if all goes well, then Ash fans would be seeing her revive the role immortalised by veteran actress Hema.

The 37-year-old star paired her traditional pochampalli purple silk sari with a matching cap sleeve blouse. She was adorned with exquisite gold jewelry - necklace, jhumkas, multiple gold and red glass bangles; and multiple rings on both her hands. She exuded coquettish charm with shoulder draping hair, bindi, winged eyeliner and glossy pink lipstick.

Aishwarya received a thunderous applause from the 6.5 lakh crowd as she she came on stage to light the traditional lamp to inaugurate the event. The crowd went into rapture when she briefly addressed them in Kannada, the local language, before switching to Hindi.

The former Miss World (1994) was accompanied to the event by her mother. The two women arrived in the city earlier in the day in a private aircraft at Sambra airport. Aishwarya was seated between Dr BS Yediyurappa, Karnataka chief minister, and Prabakar Kore of Belgaum district during the event.

In 2007, Red -The Dark Side released starring Aftab Sivdastani, Celina Jaitley and Amrita Arora. There was a controversy over the twenty-seven minute sex scene. Red received mixed reviews at the Box Office. Her upcoming film Raakh will release this august in which she will be paired with Sohail Khan.

Atif Aslam was born on 12th March 1983 in Wazirabad, Gujranwala. His father is Mohammed Aslam, a retired engineer. Aslam has three brothers, Shahzad, Sheraz and Shahbaz who handles concerts and his wardrobe.

He studied at the Kimberley Hall School, Lahore. He moved to Norway when he was nine years old where he studied at Saint Paul’s School. When he returned to Lahore in 1995, he continued his education at the Divisional Public School and later at the PAF College. He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Punjab.

Atif Aslam, together with guitarist Gohar Mumtaz, formed the band Jal while in college. A source said: 'It's heartbreaking for her to dump him, and she's devastated that it's come to this, but she really didn't have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation.'
Despite their split, it remains to be seen if the separation is permanent.
The couple were reported to have split briefly this year after Follieri was sued by a former business associate for bouncing a  $215,000 cheque.
Criminal charges against Follieri were dropped after he turned himself into police and  settled the outstanding bill.
